From Farm Boy to Brainiac
Let's rewind to the 1970s, in the heart of Wisconsin. Young Josh Axe, our future doc, was busy helping out on his family's farm. He was milking cows, feeding pigs, and probably humming a tune while doing chores. Little did he know, he'd one day be the go-to guy for all things health and wellness!
High School Happenings
After graduating from high school in his small-town Wisconsin, Josh packed his bags and headed to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Now, you might be thinking, "Madison? Isn't that a party school?" Well, yes, it is, but our man Axe was all about balance. He was a student athlete, playing football and studying hard. Talk about a full plate!

But here's where it gets interesting. While at Madison, Josh discovered a passion for nutrition. He started reading books, attending seminars, and even changed his major to nutrition. Now, that's what we call a lightbulb moment!
From Wisconsin to the World
After graduating with a degree in nutrition, Josh wasn't ready to hang up his learning hat just yet. He headed to the prestigious Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. This place is no joke - it's one of the leading schools for natural medicine in the country. Talk about trading in those cowboy boots for Birkenstocks!

At Bastyr, Josh earned his doctorate in naturopathic medicine. That's right, folks, Dr. Axe is officially a doc! But he didn't stop there. He also became a certified nutrition specialist and a clinical nutritionist. Talk about a brain full of knowledge!
From Student to Teacher
After all that learning, you'd think Josh would take a break, right? Nope! He started teaching at Bastyr, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of health nuts. And let's not forget, he also started his popular website, DrAxe.com, where he dishes out health advice to millions of fans.
So, there you have it! From farm boy to brainiac, Dr. Axe's educational journey is as inspiring as it is impressive. Next time you're wondering where your favorite health guru got his smarts, just remember: it's all about balance, baby!
