When Did Kenan Join Snl

So, you're curious about when Kenan Thompson joined SNL, huh? Well, grab a seat, let's dive into this like we're chatting over a cup of coffee. Or maybe a glass of wine, because, you know, it's been a day.

Rewinding the Clock

Imagine you're at a party, and someone asks, "When did Kenan join SNL?" You'd probably start by saying, "Well, let me take you back to the year 2003." Picture it: Bush was in the White House, the iPod was a thing, and 'The Ring' was scaring the pants off us at the movies. That's right, we're talking ancient history here, folks.

Kenan's Big Break

Now, Kenan wasn't exactly a stranger to the small screen. He'd been making us laugh on shows like 'All That' and 'Kenan & Kel'. But joining SNL, that was a whole different ball game. It was like going from playing in the neighborhood park to suddenly being in the World Cup. I mean, SNL is the show where comedy legends are made, right?

So, there he was, in 2003, stepping onto that hallowed stage at Studio 8H. He was the first black cast member to reach the 10-year milestone, and he's still going strong. Talk about a marathon runner in the comedy world!

Kenan's SNL Journey

Over the years, Kenan's become a staple on SNL. He's impersonated everyone from Steve Harvey to Charles Barkley. He's been in sketches that made us laugh so hard, we forgot to breathe. Remember 'What's Up With That?' or 'Black Jeopardy'? Those are comedy gold, right there.

And let's not forget his impressions. Oh, the impressions! Kenan can do voices so well, it's like he's got a whole cast of characters living in his head. It's a bit terrifying, if you think about it. But mostly, it's just hilarious.

Still Going Strong

Kenan's been on SNL for so long, he's practically part of the furniture. He's seen cast members come and go, but he's always there, the rocksteady of the SNL family. He's like that favorite pair of jeans you've had for years - a little worn, a little faded, but still your absolute favorite.

So, the next time you're watching SNL and Kenan makes you laugh until you snort your drink, remember, he's been at this comedy thing for a long time. Since 2003, to be exact. And isn't it nice to know some things stay the same in this ever-changing world? Like Kenan Thompson on SNL, making us laugh one sketch at a time.
