Who the Heck are Anvil?

Alright, picture this: it's 1984, hair is big, jeans are tighter than a drum, and heavy metal is king. In the heart of Toronto, Canada, a band named Anvil is causing quite the ruckus. They're hanging out with the likes of Motörhead and Bon Jovi, and their debut album, 'Hard 'n' Heavy', is making waves. But then, something strange happens...

Anvil vanishes. Poof! Gone. Like a metalhead at a free buffet. They're like the Moby Dick of heavy metal - everyone's heard of 'em, but no one's seen 'em in years.

Enter: The Documentary

Now, fast forward to 2006. A young filmmaker named Sacha Gervasi is working on a script for a horror movie. He's struggling, you see, and he needs some inspiration. So, he turns to his old friends from high school - Anvil.

Gervasi decides to follow the band around, camera in hand, to see what they're up to. What he finds is... well, let's just say it's not quite what he expected. And thus, 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil' is born.

Why You Should Watch It

Alright, so here's the thing: 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil' is not your average music documentary. It's a comedy of errors, a heavy metal Spinal Tap, if you will. It's got more twists and turns than a rollercoaster at a heavy metal theme park.

You'll laugh, you'll cringe, you'll probably want to cover your eyes at least once. But you'll also feel a strange sense of affection for these guys. They're like the underdog of the underdog, the little engine that could... but didn't. Yet.

How to Watch It Online

Now, I know what you're thinking. "This all sounds great, but how do I watch this masterpiece of metal mayhem online?" Well, my friend, it's not as easy as finding a free stream of the latest Marvel movie. But it's not impossible.

Your best bet is to check out streaming services like Amazon Prime, Google Play, or YouTube Movies. They've got it, and it's usually not too expensive. If you're feeling adventurous, you might even find it on a less-than-legal streaming site. But remember, kids, piracy is bad. Unless it's music piracy, in which case, it's totally cool. I'm kidding. Don't do that.

And That's the Story of Anvil

So there you have it, folks. The tale of Anvil, the band that could've been, should've been, but... wasn't. Yet. Who knows? Maybe after you watch their story, you'll be inspired to pick up a guitar and save them from obscurity. Or maybe you'll just have a good laugh. Either way, it's a win-win.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some heavy metal to listen to. And by heavy metal, I mean my neighbor's lawnmower. It's a metaphor. Sort of.
