Thomas Brodie Sangster Age In Maze Runner 1

Alright, gather 'round, folks. Let's talk about Thomas Brodie-Sangster, the kid who's been stealing our hearts since he was a wee lad. You know, the one who grew from a cherubic Newt in The Maze Runner to the lovable Sam in Love Actually. Now, you might be wondering, "How old was he when he played Newt?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're about to dive into the time machine.

When Newt Wasn't So New

Picture this: it's 2014, and The Maze Runner hits the big screen. You're there, munching on your popcorn, eyes glued to the screen. On it, there's this scrawny, glasses-wearing kid, all wide-eyed and curious. That, my friends, was 14-year-old Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Yes, you read that right. He was just a baby, relatively speaking, when he took on the role of Newt.

Now, let's put that into perspective. When Thomas was playing Newt, I was probably stressing about my college finals, and you? Well, you were likely navigating the complexities of adult life. Meanwhile, little Thomas was over there, running around in a maze, saving the world. Talk about a role reversal, huh?

From Newt to Now

Fast forward to today. Thomas is all grown up, or at least, he looks it. He's been in a bunch of movies and TV shows since then, like Game of Thrones and The Queen's Gambit. He's even voiced characters in animated films like The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. But no matter how many years pass or how many roles he takes on, he'll always be our beloved Newt to us.

How Old Every Actor Is In The Maze Runner Compared To Their Character

So, the next time you're watching The Maze Runner, remember, that's not just any kid on screen. That's 14-year-old Thomas Brodie-Sangster, holding his own among seasoned actors, and stealing our hearts one line at a time. Isn't it crazy how time flies? It seems like just yesterday he was a little boy, and now, well, he's still pretty young, but you get the picture.

Age is Just a Number

In the end, it's not about how old Thomas was when he played Newt. It's about how he brought that character to life, how he made us care, and how he's continued to grow as an actor. So, here's to Thomas, the kid who's been making us smile since he was just a wee lad. May his career continue to flourish, and may we always have a soft spot for Newt, the kid who was wise beyond his years.
