My Husband Has No Sex Drive With Me

So, I've been meaning to spill the beans on something that's been keeping me up at night. Not in a good way, mind you. More like, "Why is my husband's sex drive more elusive than a good night's sleep?" kinda way.

Now, before you start picturing me with a neon sign blinking "Desperate Housewife" above my head, let me set the record straight. I'm not talking about me. I'm all revved up and ready to go, like a well-tuned engine. It's my husband who's got the libido of a sloth on sedatives.

Let's Talk About Sex, Baby

I mean, don't get me wrong, we're not talking about a total drought here. It's more like a once-a-month rainstorm in the Sahara. You know it's gonna happen eventually, but it's not exactly something you can set your watch to.

I've tried the whole "sexy lingerie" thing. You know, the kind that makes you feel like you're wearing a corset made of dental floss. I've even attempted to cook him his favorite meal, only to have him compliment the chef (me) and then proceed to pass out on the couch like a food-coma zombie.

When in Doubt, Blame the Internet

I've started to wonder if it's just me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. So, I've turned to my trusty friend, Google. You know, the one who knows everything and judges nothing. Well, maybe it judges a little.

I've read articles about everything from "How to Reignite the Spark" to "101 Ways to Make Him Want You." I've even found myself down the rabbit hole of "Is It Normal for Men to Lose Interest?"

It's Not You, It's Him (Probably)

And that's when it hit me. It's not me. It's him. I know, I know, it's the oldest line in the book. But hear me out. I've started to notice little things. Like how he falls asleep during action movies. Or how he can sleep through a hurricane, but wakes up at the slightest hint of a cold breeze.

So, I've decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm going to start a sex drive intervention. Think "Intervention" but with fewer drugs and more... ahem... "intimacy."

Operation: Get My Husband Laid

Step one: Communication. I'm going to sit him down and have a little chat. You know, the kind where you use big words like "libido" and "intimacy" and hope he doesn't think you're just trying to sell him something.

Step two: Exercise. I've read that exercise can boost testosterone levels. So, I'm going to suggest we start a couples' workout routine. You know, something that gets the blood pumping. And if that doesn't work, at least we'll be in better shape for all the... ahem... "cardio" we'll be doing.

Step three: Date nights. I'm talking about the kind that don't involve Netflix and chill. I mean, sure, Netflix is great, but it's not exactly setting the mood. I'm thinking more along the lines of candlelit dinners and romantic walks on the beach. You know, the kind of stuff that makes you feel like you're in a cheesy romantic comedy.

And So, the Adventure Begins

And there you have it. My grand plan to reignite the spark in my marriage. Wish me luck, folks. I've got a feeling I'm gonna need it. But hey, at least I'll have some good stories to tell. Right?

Until next time, my fellow lovelorn friends. Keep your engines revved and your spirits high. And remember, if all else fails, there's always vibrators. Just kidding. Sort of.
