From NCIS to... Well, NCIS

Let's start with the elephant in the room, or should I say, the special agent in the room? Mark Harmon has been killing it (metaphorically, of course) as Gibbs on NCIS since 2003. That's right, folks, he's been solving crimes and giving us those signature Gibbs glares for almost two decades. Talk about commitment!

But don't worry, he's not just Gibbs. He's got a whole repertoire of roles that'll make you fall in love with him all over again. So, let's rewind and take a look at some of his best works.

Mark Harmon: The Early Years

Before he was Gibbs, Harmon was making waves in the '80s and '90s. He started his TV career with a bang, playing the charming and lovable Bobby Ewing in Dallas. Yes, that's right, he's the reason some of us fell in love with TV in the first place. wink

But Harmon wasn't just about the soaps. He also made a name for himself in movies like The Presidio (1988) with Sean Connery and Freaky Friday (1995) with Lindsay Lohan. Okay, maybe not that last one, but you get the picture. He was everywhere!

Mark Harmon: The Movie Magic

Now, let's talk about some of his standout movie roles. In Summer School (1987), Harmon played a teacher who falls for a student's mom. Talk about a plot twist! And who could forget his role in Without Limits (1998), where he played the coach of legendary runner Steve Prefontaine? Talk about inspiring!

But Harmon isn't all drama and romance. He's also got a knack for comedy. In Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), he played a lawyer who gets caught up in Hunter S. Thompson's wild adventures. It's a trip, trust me.

Mark Harmon: The TV Comeback

After a successful run in movies, Harmon made his TV comeback with a bang in NCIS. But before Gibbs, he played another iconic role in Chicago Hope (1994-2000). He played Dr. Jack McNeil, a cardiothoracic surgeon with a heart of gold. And let's not forget his stint in The West Wing (2001-2002), where he played a Secret Service agent. Talk about range!

And here's a fun fact: Harmon is a distant cousin of former President Rutherford B. Hayes. Talk about a presidential connection!
