I Have Little Bumps On My Penis

So, there I was, in the shower, doing my daily scrub-a-dub-dub, when I noticed something a bit... unusual. Little bumps had started to appear on my penis. Now, I'm not one to panic at the drop of a hat, but you know how it is, right? Suddenly, my mind starts racing faster than a Formula One car on a Sunday afternoon. "Am I turning into a toad? Did I pick up some weird STD from that dodgy-looking hand sanitizer I used last week?" I mean, who knows what's in that stuff, right?

But then, I remembered something my old doc used to say, "Don't go Googling your symptoms, son. You'll end up thinking you've got a rare disease from the Amazon rainforest." Wise words, indeed. So, I decided to keep calm and carry on, but with a little more research this time.

What the Heck are These Little Bumps?

After a quick, responsible Google search (I promise, no WebMD this time), I found out that these little bumps have a name. They're called Fordyce spots, and they're completely harmless. Phew! No toad transformation or mysterious STD for me. But wait, what are they?

Fordyce spots are tiny oil-secreting glands that can appear on the penis, but also on the lips, cheeks, and even the eyelids. They're completely normal, and most people have them. It's just that, well, they're not exactly something you want to flash around at a pool party, you know?

When Should I Worry?

Now, I'm not saying you should all go checking your... assets right now (although, if you're concerned, it's always a good idea to get checked out). But if these bumps are causing you discomfort, or if they're suddenly changing in size or color, it might be a good idea to see a doc. Same goes if you're experiencing any other unusual symptoms down there.

And hey, while you're at it, why not ask about that weird rash on your arm, or that mole that's been growing since college? A little preventative care never hurt anyone, right?

So, What Now?

Well, now that I know I'm not turning into a toad (thank goodness), I can get back to my normal routine. No more panicking in the shower, no more weird Google searches at 3 AM. Just good old-fashioned self-care and a healthy dose of common sense.

And who knows? Maybe next time I'll remember to ask my doc about those weird little spots before I start imagining the worst. But hey, that's life, right? A constant learning experience, one little bump at a time.
