So, there I was, binge-watching The 100 the other day, and I found myself wondering, "How many seasons is this post-apocalyptic rollercoaster ride gonna have?" I mean, I was invested, you know? I needed to know if Clarke and Bellamy were gonna keep me on the edge of my seat for another season or if this was it. So, I did what any curious cat would do - I dug into the depths of the interwebs to find out.
Let's Talk Numbers
Alright, so as of now, The 100 has graced our screens with seven seasons. That's right, seven! I know, I know, it feels like just yesterday we were watching Clarke lead her first 100 delinquents from the Ark to Earth. But hey, time flies when you're busy surviving the apocalypse, right?
Now, you might be wondering, "Is that it? Or is there more?" Well, my friend, I'm glad you asked. Because here's where things get a little interesting.

Renewed or Cancelled?
In May 2020, The CW, the network that airs The 100, renewed the show for a seventh season. But here's the thing - they only ordered 16 episodes, which was fewer than the usual 13. So, when the seventh season wrapped up in September 2020, fans were left wondering if that was the end of the road for our favorite post-apocalyptic survivors.
But then, in January 2021, the show's creator, Jason Rothenberg, dropped a bombshell. He announced that The 100 would be ending with its seventh season. Cue the collective gasp from fans worldwide. But fear not, dear readers, because Rothenberg also hinted that the story of The 100 might continue in some form. Could it be a spin-off? A movie? Only time will tell.

So, How Many Seasons Will There Be?
Well, as of now, we're officially at seven seasons. But remember, the story of The 100 might not end there. So, keep your eyes peeled for any updates. And hey, while you're waiting, why not rewatch the series and enjoy the ride all over again? After all, it's not every day you get to watch a show that keeps you guessing until the very end.
Until next time, my fellow survivors. Stay curious, and keep your eyes on the sky - you never know when the next Ark might come crashing down.
