How Long Did Big Meech Serve

So, you're wondering, "How long did Big Meech serve?" Let's dive in, yeah?

From the Ground Up

Big Meech, real name Demetrius Flenory, was the co-founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF). He started small, selling crack in his hometown of Detroit. But hey, nobody starts a criminal empire with a corner office, right?

Rise to Power

Meech and his brother Terry 'Southwest T' Flenory turned their operation into a nationwide network. They were raking in millions, living large, and even had a reality show in the works. But, as they say, all that glitters isn't gold.

Falling from Grace

The feds were watching, and in 2008, Meech and T were arrested. They were charged with running a criminal enterprise, money laundering, and a whole bunch of other fun stuff. Oops!

Sentencing Time

In 2009, Meech was sentenced to 30 years in prison. That's right, three decades! But remember, this is Big Meech we're talking about. He didn't go down without a fight.

Appeal, Appeal, Appeal

Meech appealed his sentence, arguing that the judge was too harsh. He even claimed that the government had tampered with evidence. But the courts weren't having it. Strike one, strike two, strike three - Meech was out (of luck).

Life Behind Bars

Meech started his sentence in a high-security prison in Florida. He spent his days reading, working out, and even wrote a book, "The BMF Story: The Rise and Fall of a Hip-Hop Empire." Quite the resume builder, huh?

Early Release? Not Quite

In 2020, Meech's sentence was reduced by a year and a half due to good behavior. But don't get too excited, he's still got a long way to go. He's not getting out anytime soon. Sorry to disappoint!

Life Lessons

So, how long did Big Meech serve? Well, he's still serving, my friend. But hey, every day is a school day, right? Meech's story is a lesson in power, ambition, and the consequences that follow. It's a wild ride, and we're all just here for the story.

And there you have it! The tale of Big Meech's time behind bars. Isn't life fascinating? Until next time, folks!
