Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Cast Today

So, I was out for a jog the other day, you know, trying to keep this quarantine bod in check. I had my AirPods in, jamming to some old-school tunes, when suddenly, it hits me. The theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air starts playing, and I'm instantly transported back to the '90s, sitting cross-legged on the living room floor, watching Will Smith's hilarious antics.

And that got me thinking, "Hey, I wonder what the cast of The Fresh Prince is up to these days?" I mean, it's been a hot minute since we last saw them, and let's face it, we've all been curious, right?

Will Smith - The Fresh Prince Himself

Well, well, well, look who's still the Prince of Bel-Air! Will Smith, our beloved Fresh Prince, has come a long way from the Banks' mansion. He's now a global superstar, with a career that spans over three decades. From Independence Day to The Pursuit of Happyness, and let's not forget his iconic role as Muhammad Ali in Ali, Will has proven time and time again that he's a force to be reckoned with.

But it's not just about the big screen for Will. He's also made a name for himself in the music industry, with hits like Gettin' Jiggy Wit It and Summertime. And if that wasn't enough, he's also a successful producer, with credits on shows like Queen Latifah and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot, Bel-Air.

James Avery - Uncle Phil

Now, let's talk about the man who played the ultimate father figure, Uncle Phil. James Avery, who passed away in 2013, left a lasting impact on us all. His portrayal of the wise and loving Uncle Phil was a beacon of warmth and wisdom in the show, and his absence is still felt deeply.

Before his passing, Avery had a successful career in both film and television. He appeared in shows like That '70s Show, Grey's Anatomy, and even lent his voice to the animated series Transformers: Prime. His legacy lives on, not just in his work, but also in the hearts of The Fresh Prince fans worldwide.

Tatyana Ali - Ashley Banks

Remember little Ashley Banks, the youngest of the Banks siblings? Tatyana Ali has come a long way since her days on The Fresh Prince. After the show, she attended Harvard University, earning a degree in African American Studies and Government.

But Tatyana didn't leave acting behind. She's appeared in various TV shows and movies, including The Young and the Restless, Love That Girl, and The First Family. She's also a singer, with a self-titled album released in 1998. And if that wasn't impressive enough, she's also a mother of two!

Joseph Marcell - Geoffrey Butler

Who could forget Geoffrey, the Banks' long-suffering butler? Joseph Marcell brought humor and charm to the role, making us laugh and cringe in equal measure. After The Fresh Prince, Marcell continued his acting career, appearing in shows like The Bold and the Beautiful, The Bill, and Holby City.

But Marcell is also a talented playwright. He's written several plays, including The Real McCoy and An Evening with Joseph Marcell. It's clear that this actor is a man of many talents!

Janet Hubert - Aunt Viv (Season 1-3)

Janet Hubert, who played the original Aunt Viv, had a bit of a rocky departure from the show. But she's since moved on, continuing her acting career in various TV shows and movies. She's appeared in One Life to Live, Family Matters, and even had a recurring role in The Bernie Mac Show.

Hubert has also been open about her health struggles, including a battle with cancer. She's a true fighter, and we admire her strength and resilience.

Daphne Maxwell Reid - Aunt Viv (Season 4)

Daphne Maxwell Reid stepped into the role of Aunt Viv in the show's fourth season, and she did an amazing job. After The Fresh Prince, Reid continued her acting career, appearing in shows like ER, The Wayans Bros, and Sister, Sister.

But Reid is also a talented photographer. She's had her work exhibited in various galleries and has even published a book of her photographs, titled Homestyle. Talk about a woman of many talents!

Alfonso Ribeiro - Carlton Banks

And how could we forget Carlton Banks, the preppy, sometimes annoying, but always loveable cousin? Alfonso Ribeiro has stayed busy since The Fresh Prince, appearing in various TV shows and movies.

But Ribeiro is perhaps best known for his role as a judge on the dance competition show, America's Funniest Home Videos. He's also a talented dancer himself, winning the 19th season of Dancing with the Stars. And if that wasn't enough, he's also a director, with credits on shows like Black-ish and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot.

The Reunion

In 2020, the cast of The Fresh Prince reunited for a special on HBO Max, Bel-Air. It was a emotional and hilarious trip down memory lane, and it was amazing to see the cast back together again. It's clear that they still have a special bond, and we can't help but feel a little nostalgic.

So there you have it, folks. The cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has certainly come a long way since the show's end in 1996. They've all pursued successful careers in acting, music, writing, and more. And while we'll always miss the original show, it's comforting to know that the Banks family is still going strong.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some old-school The Fresh Prince episodes to rewatch. Until next time, folks!
