Did Lavar Ball Play Basketball

So, I was at this basketball game the other night, right? And I'm sitting there, munching on my popcorn, when suddenly, this guy in the crowd starts shouting, "Where's Lavar Ball? I wanna see the real show!" I chuckled to myself, thinking, "This guy's got some nerve." But then again, it got me wondering, did Lavar Ball really play basketball? I mean, we've all heard the name, seen the Big Baller Brand, but what about the actual game?

Lavar Ball: The Man, The Myth, The... Player?

Alright, let's rewind a bit. Lavar Ball, born in 1967, grew up in Los Angeles, California. He was a pretty decent high school basketball player, good enough to earn a scholarship to Washington State University. Now, that's not too shabby, is it? But here's where things get a bit tricky. Lavar played for the Cougars for just one season before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Now, you might be thinking, "Okay, so he played college ball. What's the big deal?" Well, here's the thing. Lavar's college career was, let's say, uneventful. He played in a total of 10 games, scoring a grand total of 2 points. Yes, you read that right. Two. Points.

From the Court to the Spotlight

So, Lavar Ball didn't exactly set the world on fire with his basketball skills. But that's not to say he hasn't made a significant impact on the sport. After his brief college career, Lavar turned his attention to coaching his sons, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo, all of whom have gone on to have successful NBA careers. And let's not forget about the Big Baller Brand, Lavar's sportswear company that's become almost as famous as the man himself.

But back to the question at hand. Did Lavar Ball play basketball? Technically, yes, he did. But if you're looking for a career filled with slam dunks and three-pointers, you might want to look elsewhere. Lavar's impact on the game has been more about the spectacle, the drama, the Lavar-ness of it all.
