Can You Buy Empty Pill Capsules At Walmart

So, there I was, rummaging through my medicine cabinet, when I realized I had a bunch of loose herbs and powders that I'd been meaning to encapsulate. You know, for easy consumption, like those fancy supplements you see in health stores. But here's the thing, I had no idea where to buy empty pill capsules. I mean, I've seen them in movies, but I didn't know if they were just movie magic or if they were actually a thing I could buy.

I figured, if I could buy them, it would probably be at a place like Walmart, right? I mean, they've got everything else under the sun. So, I grabbed my reusable bag (yes, I'm that person) and headed down to my local Walmart to investigate.

First Stop: The Pharmacy Section

My first thought was to check the pharmacy section. I mean, it's where you'd find all the pills, right? But alas, no empty capsules to be found. Just a whole lot of prescription meds and over-the-counter remedies. I did, however, pick up some hand sanitizer because, you know, better safe than sorry.

Now, I could have asked one of the pharmacists, but I was feeling a bit shy. I mean, I didn't want them to think I was some sort of pill-popping addict or something. So, I decided to keep my search a secret mission.

Next Up: The Health and Wellness Aisle

Next, I headed over to the health and wellness aisle. You know, where all the vitamins and supplements live. I figured, if anyone was encapsulating stuff, it would be the people buying all these supplements. But again, no luck. Just a lot of bottles and boxes, none of which were empty capsules.

I did, however, find some interesting herbal teas. I mean, who knew there were so many different kinds of chamomile? I might have to come back for that.

Finally, the Light Bulb Moment

As I was wandering around, trying to look casual but probably looking more like a lost tourist, it suddenly hit me. I didn't need to buy empty capsules at all. I could make them myself!

Empty Gelatin Capsules - Size 00 - 1000 count

I mean, think about it. Those fancy supplement companies aren't exactly making their capsules by hand, right? They're using machines. And if they can do it, why can't I?

So, I did a little research (thank you, Google) and found out that there are actually machines you can buy that will do all the hard work for you. They're not cheap, but they're not exactly expensive either. And they come with their own empty capsules, so you don't even have to worry about buying them separately.

So, Can You Buy Empty Pill Capsules At Walmart?

After all my snooping around, the answer is no, you can't buy empty pill capsules at Walmart. Or at least, not that I could find. But that's okay, because now I know I can make my own. And who knows, maybe I'll start a little side hustle, making capsules for all my friends and family.

But for now, I'm off to Amazon to find the best capsule machine. Wish me luck!
